http://www.stonemountain.com/ The weather was perfect. A light fresh breeze and the sun setting gently in the distance made for a wonderful evening outdoors.. The beautiful green lawn cascaded down the huge hillside toward the famous carved side of Georgia's Stone Mountain Park.
We gathered with friends to watch the New Stone Mountain Laser Show.
The kids enjoyed pre-show activities such a touch football, dancing, tag and laying in the sun. Our picnic dinner consisted of grilled chicken, (courtesy of my husband, thanks love) pasta salad, crisps, peaches, apples and lots a water. yum
The Laser Show started at 9.30 pm giving the sun plenty of time to set. The theme of the show was multi cultural music in Georgia and the South. It included artists such as REM, Indigo Girls, Ray Charles, Little Richard, Whitney Houston, Outkast, B52'S, Sugarland ,James Brown, Charlie Daniels Band and many more. After the great music tribute came a salute to all the American Heroes, lastly but by no means least we were thrilled with a Patriotic salute of the Star Spangled Banner sung by Sandi Patty and chior acompanied with spectacular fireworks.
What more can I say friends...........A prefect end to a prefect evening.....

Not just another Fathers day............
We were up and out early Sunday because of Church, a great start to our Fathers day . My very creative daughter made a unique card for her dad. He loved it.
After some family hang out time it was off to http://www.gary'sbistro/ for a leisurely late lunch.
My husband had the hungryman BBQ platter, a Fathers day special with ribs, chicken, pork and two sides, it looked wonderful. I had the Calamari and a salad and the children stuffed themselves with chicken tenders, wings and fries.![]()
Our waiter Rob and all the staff did an excellent job. All Fathers received a free desert after their meal. Thanks Gary,s for adding a few really nice touches to' Not Just Another Fathers Day '.

X-men. First Class....to see or not to see.......
If that is the question then by all means SEE. The tale of the mutants youth as they discover their powers is plausible and quite entertaining. The friendship between the professor and Magneto is nicely played out till the end. I thought it was casting genius to add Kevin Bacon as the super villain, he is good and slimy as well as great to look at in groovy 60's outfits. , The movie has plenty of special effects and beautiful scenery plus added surprises in the form of Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Romijn. Quite enjoyable.
